Gold project's flagship initiative commences data assessment at Pantanillo Gold Project, Chile, boasting over 1 million ounces of gold reserves.
In a significant move, Flagship Minerals Limited has recently acquired a comprehensive drillhole database for the Pantanillo Norte gold project. The database, obtained from Anglo American Norte Spa, contains a total of 183 drillholes, amounting to 30,370.2m of drilling. This database also includes 18,865 assayed samples across 29,848.5m of drilling.
The project data, which consists of over 700 folders containing more than 10,000 individual files and totalling over 32GB, is generally in good order.
Flagship Minerals has generated a new set of assay intersections from this drillhole data, calculating them at a lower cut-off of 0.15g/t Au. The company has elected to initially concentrate on the drillhole data associated with the ǪFE to expedite the preparation of a JORC (2012) Mineral Resource Estimate for the project.
The bulk of this drilling has been conducted at Pantanillo Norte, where 1.05Moz of Au @ 0.69g/t Au has been defined ǪFE of mineralisation. Flagship will use this drillhole data and other supporting information to prepare a JORC (2012) Mineral Resource estimate for the Pantanillo Norte deposit.
Approximately 14,000m of diamond drill core from 48 holes drilled at Pantanillo Norte has been acquired by Flagship. This core, along with a large amount of assay pulps and reject samples from the previous diamond core and RC drilling, is available for analysis.
Higher grade internal intersections were calculated at a 0.5g/t Au lower cutoff. These intersections are reported in Appendix 1 along with the drill collar data.
The company's acquisition of the Pantanillo dataset marks a crucial step in converting the current 1.05 million ounces gold foreign estimate into a Mineral Resource Estimate under the JORC Code 2012. This development underscores Flagship Minerals' commitment to advancing the Pantanillo Norte gold project.
